I’m practicing my forever alone face harhar

It’s kinda funny that since I neither detest nor embrace a religion that I am actually unwilling to date people of either point of view. I like to take an open minded stance and say any religion or no religion could be right but I certainly will never know for sure. To be so vindictive about either with no proof is what I feel to be a little too self righteous. Why can’t we just say maybe and get on with our lives? That’s not to say religion has no value. It certainly does and it helps people every day. A lot of good gets done because of religious morals and code of conduct. Certainly religion as a moral code aren’t bad. I just don’t like the thought process. When a religious person does something “right” I don’t know if they’re doing it because they thought it through and came to the conclusion it was the right thing or because god said it’s the right thing to do. For example some people knowing it’s right have gone out of their way to ban gay marriage. GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY to ban it. The most evil thing I can think of is being intrusive into other peoples’ lives. Atheism isn’t faultless either. Atheism just by being atheism is saying that everyone who believes in a religion is basically illogical. It probably steps on the most toes out of anything.

I just don’t understand why people are so vindictive. “I need to be right” and “they need to be wrong.” That kind of mentality is poisonous. At the very least we can show a passive and mutual respect but then how will we ever connect? That’s the dilemma I’m left with anyway. I do respect the opinions of both my atheist and religious friends. I just wonder how I’m gonna ever hope to find someone who will understand my point of view since I fall in the marginally slim gray area of agnostics whom apparently are more rare than the mythical unicorn.

Just to be clear though, I don’t really mind being on my own.
